Franklin is a young man, standing just under 6 and a half feet tall. He is very thin, but hardy from carrying around stacks of tomes and his time fending for himself on the streets. His fair skin has a light freckling to it, and his long red hair is often kept back in a pony tail. He is often seen wearing a pair of brass rimmed spectacles and inkstained grey robes. His fingers tend to be stained with ink as well and he carries a multitude of scroll and map cases and backpacks full of notebooks and travel supplies.

a young human wizard, his goal is to document and detail every monster/creature/etc that exists and create tomes of lore about them. a divination specialist. Since he was a young lad, instead of being scared of the monsters under his bed he was fascinated with them and wanted to know all about them. He understood that the unknown was powerful because it was frightening, and that knowledge of the unknown would give him power over it. Franklin is the son of Brandon Cooper, a master cooper from a small village seated in one of the valleys that dot the western mountains. Franklin has several older brothers, and a younger sister, however he was never very close with any of them, and used to spend much of hs time tromping about the woods and town, picking up snakes, bugs and other such creatures to get a closer look at them, even taking notes and drawings when he could. as a youth, barely into his teens he ran away from home and through a series of misadventures found himself in the possesion of a tome of magic, which he some how was able to dicipher some cantrips out of. he made his way into the city. from there he made some coin doing tricks on teh street and stole food when he could (yay mage hand mwahaha) until he drew the notice of the city watch. the guard captain, being a generous soul, and knowing personally one of the more powerful wizards who call the city home, agreed to let the boy go into the care and apprenticeship of this wizard. this wizard, his new master, is simply known as the winterborn a wizard who specialized in evocation, specifically cold based magic. Franklin discovered his talents truly lied within the arcane arts of divination and that he had no talent for necromancy at all, and very little for enchantment as well. while still technically serving the interests of the Winterborn he has begun travelling to compile information on creatures of all sorts. A passtime that his master feels can only benifit them both.

I beleive franklin is going to be true neutral if you were wondering about alignment at all. Franklin hails from Nordell, in ravenloft, a realm that has harsh winters that last for years, and decades may go by between each one. winter is a terrifying thing for the people of this land as it means possibly years of very little food, subzero temperatures and such. because of this they have found many ways of preserving food stuffs for long periods and as a society they have very little waste. there are mountains to the north, east, and south, home to many farming/herd communities, plains used for agriculture with some sparse forests and there is a major city on the coast which serves as the main trade center, all of which is done via ships as access to this realms by foot requires travelling through some extremely hazardous passes, places where winter never dies and summer never lives.

the city, which is simply called The City by it’s residents, houses this realms parliment, merchant guilds and craftsman’s unions, as well as the militia, used mainly as a police force considering risk of invasion is low. other organizations of interest would be the co-operative alliance of the arcane mysteries (mages guild) and the night masks (theives guild, of course, , as well as their naval military which isn’t very large, but quite capable of handling seamonsters and the occassional pirates. they trade with other coastal realms.
